The Ultimate Gaming Series will include Project Torque on the 2008 tour.

February 6, 2008 – Aeria Games announced today that the UGS (Ultimate Gaming Series) has decided to include Project Torque as one of its featured games for their 2008 tour! This tour offers prizes to participants, from around the country, for achieving victory in a tournament that consists of a series of elimination style rounds. Project Torque is proud to have been chosen as one of only 7 games on this tour, which include some of the PC’s and next-gen consoles’ most popular online titles.

amBX now supports Project Torque – amBX (ambient experiences) is a new technology currently being added to PC Games. With this new technology, games and peripherals providing surround lighting, sound, vibration, air movement and other effects work in harmony together, resulting in an incredibly immersive gaming experience. With amBX, Project Torque will simulate airflow as you zip past your competitors, surround ambient lighting on the vast selection of tracks and crunching rumble effects as you muscle your way through to victory.

The New Face of Project Torque – The latest Project Torque Patch has taken the game to a whole new level. More Players than ever can be found tearing up the tracks. Improved overall game performance, Enhanced/Optimized graphics engine and car balance modifications and improvements have helped to make Project Torque one of the best online racers on the market. On the horizon we are expecting to see additions such as a mission/quest system, more cars (including the Corvette C6Z06 and the 2008 Camaro Concept), new tracks and maps, increased level cap accompanied by higher level upgrades,parts and style items. We recently held our 1000$ giveaway tournament, Aeria Games’ largest giveaway to date, where we saw some fierce competition and great racing from some of PTs most skilled players.

Project Torque has also recently partnered with Double Fusion (in game advertising experts). Our in game billboards, that can be seen as you’re speeding through PT’s tracks, now display ads for Oceanic Airlines (promotion for the upcoming season of the hit TV series “Lost”). We plan to expand our in game advertisements in the future as PT provides a great venue for consistent exposure for products and companies.

No license level limit, Class 2 Cars only (Hexan GT and Quadro), no limit on upgrades or consumables.
Remember if you already own an RX-7 please to not participate in this race as you can only have one in your garage.

GMWRX – PT Expert

This week we are holding our second PT Achievements Event where you “the player” can submit your own suggestions for the weekly PT achievement event. This will help me gain a better perspective on the challenges YOU want, so we can keep PT fun for everyone!

You can start to submit your achievements Monday 3/03 @ 7pm PST | 3am 04/03 GMT | 3pm 02/26 EADT
Submissions must be in by Sunday 3/08 7pm PST | 3am 09/3 GMT | 2pm 3/09 AEDT.

So submit your ideas for Project Torque Achievements in a reply to this thread. Please mark them as either Easy, Intermediate or Advanced (based on difficulty).
- Easy achievements should be able to be completed by anyone, or any skill level, but can still be interesting to complete. (Screenshot submissions only).
- Intermediate should be more difficult then easy but still not so difficult that only the most skilled players can complete. (Screenshot or short video submissions)
- Advanced should be very difficult to achieve. They can be a short challenge with a high level of difficulty or a long challenge that might not be too difficult but will take a good amount of time to complete.

I will only accept achievement ideas that show proof that the submitter has completed the achievement them self, so either a screenshot or video must be presented with the written idea.

The following prizes will be awarded to players who submit an achievement with proof of completion. Please only 3 submissions total for this weeks contest.
1 achievement submission (with proof) – 2k RP and 5 challenge mode tickets
2 achievement submissions (with proof) – 5k RP, 1.5x nitro 10 pack and 10 double xp items.
3 achievement submissions (with proof) – 8 K RP, 2x nitro 10 pack, 10% Grip Kit 10 pack, Gas Treatment 10 pack and 10 double xp items.

Each achievement submission must be of a different difficulty level, so one easy, one intermediate and one advanced.

I will be selecting 8-9 of these (3 easy, 3 intermediate and 2-3 advanced) to include as the PT Achievements for next week. Anyone that has one of their challenges chosen will receive a 3 day double rp sponsor girl.

Achievements selected for the next weeks event will be announced by EOD Saturday the 9th.

Hey all Sorry about little info on this but there was a hot fix applied to live last night, early this morning 2/22. It was small but included a couple of key fixes/changes. Checkpoints: Added the ability the toggle the new neon green checkpoints on and off Changed the unlock level of hangar map to Level F-I. Fixed shaky camera issue, was especially noticeable in F1-F4 and with higher end video cards Please report any issues you find with these fixes. Thanks
